General English course in Ireland
This course is carefully structured for students to progress one skill level every six weeks and designed for students looking to gain a sound understanding of the essential disciplines of the English language through a well-rounded program. The General English course is available for students of any level, from absolute beginners to advanced. You will have 26 English lessons per week.
English exam preparation courses in Ireland:
Ireland is an excellent place to prepare for the Cambridge ESOL exam or the TOEFL exam because of its outstanding academic reputation. Whether you are trying to gain admission into an English-language university, applying for jobs, or just trying to prove your English skills, a specialized exam preparation course in Ireland will help you achieve your full potential on the day of the exam.
If you plan to take a Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) exam, we offer 9-12 week specialized exam preparation courses in Ireland for each of the Cambridge exam types. The higher level Cambridge exams are accepted as proof of proficiency for admission to most universities in Ireland, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If you do not yet have the English skills needed to prepare for the Cambridge exam, EF also offers an introductory English course to prepare for our specialized Cambridge ESOL course in Ireland. This pre-exam preparation course starts 16-20 weeks before the official testing date.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of non-native English speakers to use North American English, primarily in academic settings. Our English courses include several choices of lodging. The homestay in Ireland provides you with a carefully selected host family with a double room, which is usually included in the package price of the course. An Irish Homestay is a great way to see how the local people live in their private lives, and to get extra time to practice your English with your host family. But for those looking for independence and an international atmosphere, you may prefer to live in a student residence instead. In Dublin we offer lodging in our year round residence, Lad Lane, in en suite twin/triple rooms for €XX/week. There is a fully-equipped shared kitchen for self-catering and it’s only a five-minute walk from EF. In the summer we also have residences at Dublin City University where you can live in an en suite twin room in a student apartment for €XX/week.

The price of your English course in Ireland depends on the duration, course type, and the lodging you choose. For example, you can take a General English course in Dublin for 2 weeks from XXXX. All General courses include 3 months access our online post-course, called iLab. An Intensive English course in Dublin for the same period starts at XXX. If you choose an Intensive course, you’ll also gain access to our iLab with great online training for 6 months after you complete your course! All EF English courses in Ireland include homestay accommodation, a meal plan, as well as lessons and materials.
