Learn German with EF International Language Schools

Where can you learn German?
If you want to learn German, there is no better solution than to study abroad in Germany where you’ll be living surrounded by German all day every day. Whether you’re in German class with students from all over the world or just walking around town, you’ll always be surrounded by native German speakers. With constant practice, you’ll be amazed how fast you’ll learn German while studying abroad.

Take a General German course in Munich , the business capital of southern Germany, an elegant city with amazing Bavarian charm. EF Munich, near the city center makes its home in the beloved bohemian student neighborhood called Schwabing. Our Munich school staff is very experienced in preparing students for German language exams.

Why learn German?
German is the most widely spoken language in Europe. Learning German can connect you to 120 million native speakers around the globe and it is also the 3rd most popular foreign language taught worldwide. The Japanese, who have the 2nd largest economy in the world, understand the business advantages of learning German: 68% of Japanese students study German.

Germany has the 3rd strongest economy in the world and is the largest world exporter. In 2007, Germany exported 940 billion US dollars worth of goods, from cars to machinery and industrial equipment, pharmaceuticals and household goods. Thanks to Germany’s economic strength, there are many multinational business opportunities throughout the European Union, particularly in Eastern European countries where German is the second most spoken language after Russian. If you're looking for employment in the United States, knowing German can give you that extra advantage you need. German companies account for 700,000 jobs in the United States, and US companies have created approximately the same number of jobs in Germany.

Germans are the biggest spenders of tourist dollars in the world. If you are a world traveler, you are certain to encounter Germans wherever you go since nearly 3 out of every 4 vacations by Germans are spent outside of Germany. In 2007, they spent a record 91 billion euros on international travel. Year after year, the residents of Germany spend more on foreign travel than those of any other nation. Travel agencies, tour companies, hotels, airlines, and car rental agencies that can communicate with Germans in their own language will win this profitable business.
