EF Master Business English MBE

EF’s Master Business English (MBE) is a unique 6 or 9-month course combining long-term English studies with a specialized business curriculum based on materials from Harvard Business School Publishing. The business classes are taught using the famous Harvard Business School case study method and cover topics such as successful negotiation, leadership development, business meetings and conversation skills.

The best language instruction

From the moment you arrive, our experienced instructors are focused on getting your language skills up to the level you need to begin your business courses. Depending on the results of your initial placement test, you will join classes with students at the same English level. Our experienced native-speaking teachers use the latest methods and EF's own tailor-made curriculum to ensure that you will advance as rapidly as possible.

A unique business curriculum

In business classes, you will study from the same materials that are used at the renowned Harvard Business School. Your teachers will utilize the same case study method developed at Harvard, using real-life scenarios and problems to examine different aspects of international business. One week your focus may be on leadership skills, the next global marketing and then on to study the challenges of running a multi-national organization. All classes encourage open discussion, active participation and interactive presentations, as well as having diverse international classrooms to ensure that you benefit from different cultural viewpoints.

An internship to enhance your knowledge

An integral part of the program is your internship. An EF Internship Coordinator will help you to match your interest and experiences to a local business. This internship will afford you a unique opportunity to put your skills into practice right away. Past internships have included placements in the media, technology, manufacturing, financial and legal sectors, with participating companies including: London’s International Quality and Productivity Centre, Boston Biomedical Consultants, Miami Chamber of Commerce, Yorkshire Bank and Spire Group Consulting.

After class, enjoy cultural and social activities

When class is finished for the day, we make sure there is a full schedule of activities available, giving you the chance to relax and to explore your host city. These activities range from parties with your fellow students and field trips to local businesses to museum visits and movie nights. Credentials that are recognized around the world Your MBE diploma, combined with your internship certificate and your official exam results, ensures you are ready to advance in your business career.
