EF Master English for Energy and the Environment MEE
With environmental issues a focus of media attention and on everyone’s minds these days, it is no surprise that EF designed a Masters English Energy and Environment (MEE) program. The unique long-term English studies program combines environmental studies with intensive English language training. Program participants will learn about energy resources and their consumption, particularly resources like oil and gas and a look its complex industry, and global warming, among others. Through this framework, students will learn about our current planet, discuss its future, and learn about alternative forms of energy, such as fossil fuel and wind power.
The best language instruction
From the moment you arrive, our experienced instructors work several hours a day to get your language skills up to the level necessary to begin your energy and environment courses. The results of your initial placement test will determine which English level class you will join. Our native-speaking instructors use the latest methods and EF’s tailor-made curriculum to ensure that you advance as rapidly as possible. Once your language level is high enough, you will progress to the specialized energy and environment classes.
EF has developed a unique curriculum that uses your new English skills to explore environmental issues. EF’s MEE is designed to give students the language skills, course foundation, and hands-on experience necessary to complete the program with a specialist knowledge of environmental studies, the energy industry, and new technologies. With instructors who are experts in their respective fields, you will leave with a strong academic foundation to pursue either a career or an advanced degree in your chosen field.
An internship to enhance your knowledge
An integral part of your MEE program is the internship. EF’s Internship Coordinator is dedicated to helping you match your interests and experiences to an organization or company working on environment and energy-related projects. Internships could include: a placement at a not for profit organization working to better the environment; developing new environmental technologies; or working to make construction projects and buildings “green” , among other things.
