This Month’s EF Educator Monthly

Using poetry in the English classroom

Have you ever wondered how you could get your students excited about reading authentic texts in English? Why not try a poem? With the right poem you can give your students a lesson in culture, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, writing and speaking all at the same time.
Poems can be involving, motivating and memorable and, with their variety of content and context, they can supplement and enrich just about any lesson. This month we are looking at bringing poetry in the language classroom and the learning opportunities it offers.

The EF Educator Monthly is designed by and for teachers; if you have any suggestions for content or themes for future newsletters, contact the editor david.bish@ef.com
